An incomplete cast copper-alloy strap end of Medieval date. It comprises two flat rectangular copper-alloy plates, one of which is missing one side due to old breaks. Each plate tapers towards the terminal end where there is a central projecting semi-circular knop. The attachment end has two semi-circular notches, between which is a single central rivet with flattened round heads. A second similar rivet is just visible at the bottom centre of the plate above the terminal. The entire object measures 31.94mm in length, 15.08mm in width, 3.58mm in thickness and 4.73g in weight. It is of Medieval date, c.14th century Ad (as Egan and Pritchard, 1991: no. 660).
