Post Medieval copper alloy two piece buckle. Probably a shoe buckle as indicated by the size and curvature. It is rectangular in shape with stretched corners and is curved in profile. There is some moulded decoration in the form of a bordered raised panel along each long edge which is terminated before each corner by incised straight lines. There is also an incised straight line extending into the angle of each corner. It has a loop chape with a single internal spike. The external pin is missing. The single spike indicates that it is probably an early Georgian form. from c 1690 - 1720.
