Copper alloy strap clasp the forward edge of which is expanded with a pointed rectangular plate decorated in the shape of a human facemask. The front edge of the plate has a large triangular projection for the nose, this is flanked by two smaller triangles, behind which are drilled holes representing the eyes. At the back of the plate is a series of vertical lines representing hair. The arms of the clasp are rectangular in cross section, the strap bar is narrowed and recessed. Date 14th century.
