An incomplete and worn rectangular copper-alloy buckle plate of Medieval date. It is missing the attachment end and the back plate due to old breaks, now worn.
It is flat with a pair of circular rivet holes at the attachment end, still containing separate copper-alloy rivets with flattened round heads. There are the remains of a third circular rivet hole in the centre.
This buckle measures 16.87mm in length, 12.47mm in width, 0.91mm in thickness, 1.43g in weight.
