A copper-alloy early-medieval lozenge-shaped one-piece strip brooch of Weetch's Type 31.C. The plate is a flat elongated lozenge, without surface decoration. Each of the more acute angles tapers into a recurved point forming a hook. Both hooks are incomplete with one hook offset at 90 degrees whilst the other is bent under. The offset hook would originally have formed the spring of the brooch, while the other would have formed the catchplate.
The brooch measures 40.00mm in length, 16.59mm in width, 1.58mm in thickness, and weighs 3.75g. It dates to the 8th century.
