A cast copper alloy single-looped buckle dating to the medieval period. The buckle frame is D-shaped in plan with a small lip at the front for the pin to rest on. At the back of the frame the strap bar is thickened and has a notch in which the pin could rotate around. The pin is missing. This type of buckle dates from c. AD 1350-1450.
