A ceramic vessel rim sherd of probable Roman date. The rim is out-turned. The fabric is hard and fine textured, with frequent angular, well sorted, quartz and grit inclusions. The fabric is dark grey to dark brown throughout. Probably Grayware.

This object was found in an area where cropmarks suggest a Romano-British settlement.
