An incomplete, Roman, copper-alloy bow and fantail variant brooch. It has flat, rectangular wings each decorated with two vertical grooves. A cylinder is contained on the reverse housing an axis bar for a hinged pin. At the top in the centre is an incomplete chain loop. The upper bow is arched and D-shaped in section. In the centre of the bow is a large circular boss containing a quatrefoil of reserved metal, set against a background of degraded colourless enamel. The lower bow and foot are missing.
