An incomplete Early-Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) cast copper-alloy single loop buckle (c. 450-c. 600).
This frame is 'D'-shaped in plan, convex at the front and flat at the rear. The narrowed bar is circular in cross-section with a small portion of the pin loop which is fused to the bar.
This buckle is drab green and may have been subject to burning.
