A Medieval copper alloy horse-harness pendant of c. AD1200-1400 date. . The pendant comprises a heater-shaped shield with integrally cast suspension loop set perpendicular to the shield. The shield is decorated with a heraldic design. This is very worn and has been very heavily cleaned but can still be made out as a 'lion rampant guardant argent'.
Some green enamel survives over the back part of theeanimal, The background of the shield is missing Horse harness pendant generally date to the 13th or 14th century AD. A similar example can be seen on the database: BERK-4BF365
