Post medieval copper alloy mount dating to the 17th century AD. The front is a flat plate with a a bilobed end, slightly constricted elongated length and an expanded triangular terminal at the other end. The seperate lobes are divided by incised line running down a short way from the top edge. A row of dots runs to one side of this line and runnign from the end of the line down the length to the trianguklar terminal is a row of punched crescnts. This row is flanked at the triangular end by two curves marking off the side corners of the triangle. On the lobes are further rows of punched crescents, possibly in spirals. The edges are slightly angled and the back is flat. Two integral rivet spikes project from the back; one near each end. Both are bent outwards 180 degrees and end in blunt, worn breaks. It is 25.8mm long, 18.2mm wide and 1.4mm thick excluding the rivets, 27.5mm long, 6.6mm thick including them; it weighs 3.07 grams.
