Incomplete and badly distorted Late Iron Age to Early Roman Colchester brooch, axis bar, pin, one wing and almost all of the catchplate missing. The ovoid-sectioned bow ends in a spike. It is so badly twisted that the true length of the object cannot be accurately measured. Estimated wingspan 14mm. c.20 - c.70 AD.
