A fragment of a Bronze Age cast copper-alloy palstave (1600 BC-1001 BC). This part of the palstave is the butt end with a break at the top and another just below the 'U'-shaped stops. It has high flanges and a thin septum which has a minimum thickness of c. 4.0mm.
The fragment is green and corroded overall with traces of a brown patina on the septum. The breaks are old.
