An incomplete copper alloy spur.The spur does not have a neck and so has niether a rowel nor a goad. Instead there is a lozengiform projection with transverse grooves top and bottom and a central trapeziodal low knop. The projection is framed by rows of ring and dot stamps. One arm is complete, the other is broken about halfway along its length. The arms curving with a triangular in cross section and taper towards the terminals. The remaining terminal is a pair of circular knops with central sub circular apertures throught which the spur leathers were attached. The surface of the arms is decorated with an incised foliate pattern of leaves and tendrils.
