A cast lead spindle whorl of Medieval date, c. 1200-1500.
The spindle whorl is biconical, with a hold through the centre. Each face is decorated, though with minor differences. One face bears eight lines in relief radiating from the centre, creating separate panels, each with three raised dots arranged linearly parallel to the panel borders. The opposite face bear six lines in relief radiating from the centre, with four panels bearing two parallel columns of three raised dots, one panel of three raised dots in a column, and one wider panel that bear three columns of three raised dots.
