A copper-alloy T-shaped brooch of early Roman date, c. 43-150 AD.
The brooch has semicylindrical wings cast integral with the bow, and which would have protected the missing sprung-pin. The bow is sharply hooked, initially rising from the head before arching downward, narrowing in width from top to base, where it is pointed. The base of the catchplate remains on the underside of the pointed terminal of the bow.
