A post-Medieval, cast lead-alloy button,
The button is circular in plan, slightly domed on the front and slightly concave on the back. There is a distinct casting seam running across the back of the button and along the loop. The upper surface has a cast relief decoration. A pellet marks the centre of the head and this is surrounded by two, concentric circles of inwardly-facing crescents creating a scale-like or petal-like effect. An integral loop extends from the centre of the back of the button.
