An incomplete cast lead button of post-medieval date. The button is circular with a convex front and flat back. The front face of the button is decorated with a raised female figure facing left with one hand resting on her hip and the other arm is raised holding an indistinct feature. The surrounding field is filled with raised pellets and a figure of eight to either side of the figure.
The reverse of the button is flat and undecorated with a prominent casting flash along the centre from which the remains of an integrally cast looped shank projects.
The metal is a mid greyish-brown colour and is worn. The button is 23.8mm in diameter, 9.3mm thick and weighs 12.8g.
