A cast copper alloy Roman spoon bowl of circular form with a white metal surface coating. Projecting from the bowl are the remains of an oval-section handle. The back of the bowl is decorated with worn curvilinear scrolling lines made from punched dots. The spoon belongs to Sherlock's Group C (David Sherlock, The backs of Roman spoons in Britain. Britannia Vol. 31. (2000), pp. 365-370).
