Incomplete medieval gilt copper alloy buckle plate, sub-oval with a perforated oval lobe at terminal containing corroded remains of a copper alloy rivet, and perforated lobese on both sides. Pin-slot, broken across loops, back-part missing. Blue enamelled tripartite linear decoration on face. Length 24mm. Width 17mm. See broadly similar (non enamelled) form in Whitehead (2003), 18, no.48. Late 12th-13th century.
