A fragment of a cast copper-alloy linch pin of Iron Age date. It is the foot of the pin, the rest missing due to old breaks. It is circular, with the top part missing and at the rear it curves to form the base of the shank. The face is decorated with a series of cross hatched lines, although these are very worn. It is similar to other linch pins recorded on the database, for example from Suffolk, SF-E2C7C1.
