A cast copper-alloy horse-harness pendant. The pendant is a drop shape with an elongated tip which forms a perforated lug which is perpendicular to the pendant. The outer surface of the pendant is slightly convex and the reverse concave. The surface of the pendant is heavily abraded. The pendant measures 36.57mm long, and 15.82mm wide. It weighs 2.81g.
The harness pendant dates to the Medieval period and were most popular in the 13th and early 14th century (Griffiths, N. 1986 Horse Harness Pendants Finds Research Group Datasheet No. 5).
