Lower bow, foot and catchplate of a Roman copper alloy bow brooch. The cross-section of the bow is triangular with concave sides and there is a single round aperture in the catchplate. A groove or channel along the base of the catchplate flap indicates that this is part of a Colchester-type two-piece (i.e. with a Harlow-type spring mechanism). Extant length 21mm. Width 4.5mm. c.43 - c.80.
