An incomplete cast copper-alloy Medieval harness pendant dating to c. AD 1200-1400. The pendant is sub-triangular in plan and broadly flat in section, with an integral sub-oval attachment loop. To the lower portion of the pendant are two small concave removals creating a sub-rectangular projection from the triangular body. It is possible that this may have continued but has broken in previous damage. The attachment loop has a circular aperture for attachment to the suspension mount and a single rectangular in section pin retains in situ. This pin is covered in red-brown corrosion suggesting it is composed of iron. To the front of the pendant a small trace of the original gilt is retained in a sub-rectangular form, with additional traces at the suspension loop. This artefact has a red-brown colour overall.
The harness pendant measures 21.3mm, with a width of 15.2mm and a thickness of 2.1mm. It weighs 2.39 grams.
