A group of three iron fixtures and fittings of unknown date, found on a known Roman site.
1) A large circular sectioned pin with a loop at one end through which is attached a link of chain. A second chain link may one have been attached also. The pin is 124mm long, 19mm wide and 20mm thick. At the loop end, it flares in width and flattens in thickness to form a flat disc before extending into a loop which curves backwards. The panel is the widest point and the loop is the thickest. The chin link has corroded through at one point. It is oval in plan and variable in section. The second loop is broken at one end but otherwise matches the first. The links are 50mm long and 21mm wide. 77.41g.
2) An iron object which has a square sectioned point at one end. Near the other end, which is broken, the object has a dog leg and widens into a pentagonal section. A projection from the flat reverse may be the remains of an attachment point. The object is 79mm long, 13mm wide and 19mm thick. 21.71g.
3) An incomplete rectangular loop of rectangular section, perhaps the remains of a buckle frame. About 3/5 of the frame survives. It is 54mm long, 38.5mm wide and 4.5mm thick. 5.12g.
