A Medieval gold coin; a half noble of Edward III (1327 - 1377), treaty series (1363 - 1369), London mint with an E in the centre of the reverse. See North number 1238. This variety has HIB instead of HYB as listed in North, but the UKDFD entry notes that this variety is listed in Schneider, SCBI 47, No. 78.

Obverse description: King standing facing forward in a ship. He is crowned and wears armour, holding a sword and shield.
Obverse inscription: EDWARD DEI G REX ANGL D HIB Z AQT [double saltire stops]
Reverse description: Floriated cross with a lis at the end of each limb abnd an ornamented compartment containing the king's initial in the centre; in each angle, a lion passant, guardant with a crown above; all within a tressure of eight arches.
Reverse inscription: DOMINE NE IN FVRORE TVO ARGVAS ME
