A Post Medieval copper alloy Nuremberg from the workshop of Hans Krauwinckel II dating from between AD 1586 and 1635. The jetton is of rose/ orb type. Some of the edge of the flan is missing as part of the jetton has broken off and is lost. The reverse legend reads [HA]NNS with a double N suggesting the maker to be Hans Krauwinckel II rather than I. The obverse legend is illegible so it is difficult to pinpoint a specific type for this jetton, it is also not possible to take a die axis reading. The jetton has a dark grey lustrous patina with some patches of green. For similar examples see SWYOR-1B5272 and SWYOR-9522C8. See also Mitchiner, M. (1988) Jettons, Medalets and Tokens: The Medieval Period and Nuremberg, Volume 1, pages 435 - 447, type 1494 - 1594.
