The suspension loop from a cast copper alloy purse bar of late Medieval or early post medieval date, AD1450-1600. It is oval in shape and flat in section. At one end is a circular projection which carries the remains of the circular shaft that attached the loop to the horizontal section of the purse bar; this shaft is broken and the rest of the bar is missing. The outside of the loop is decorated with two rectangular panels each delineated by a transverse groove at each end; each panel contains three pairs of angled parallel grooves. The loop has a light green patina. It is 46.1mm long, 7mm wide and 13mm thick. It weighs 10.72gm. Compare YORYM-FFEE07.
