A cast copper-alloy strap or furniture stud of uncertain date, probably between the Roman to Post Medieval period. The head is a large flat disc which has spread after being struck, presumably while fixing into a larger object. The shank is integrally cast and circular in cross-section. The tip is missing. It measures 18.4mm long and the head has a diameter of 30.4mm. The shank is 7.9mm thick at its maximum and the whole object weighs 14.96 grams.
A similar object was discovered within a close proximity and recorded on the PAS database as SUSS-101F22.
