A gold-alloy mount of uncertain date, c. AD 43-1900.
The mount is a flat strip of sheet gold, alloyed with silver, rectangular in plan with a punched hold through the centre of one end. The corners at the opposite end are bent and have torn edges. The entire strip is distorted in shape.
There is no decoration or defining feature on either face.
The object does not qualify as Treasure as it cannot be proven to be older than 300 years in age.
