A complete gold finger ring, of uncertain dating, but probably Post Medieval to Modern in dating (AD 1750 to AD 1900).
The finger ring has a flat rectangular sectioned hoop. The bezel is unusual, consisting of a concave recess, with an circular sectioned bar mounted above it. Domed terminals are present on either end of the bar. It is uncertain whether anything was mounted on or beneath the bar.
The finger ring has an external diameter of 20.89 mm, an internal diameter of 17.69 mm. The hoop has a maximum width of 3.18 mm and a maximum thickness of 2.03 mm. It weighs 3.8 grams.
See SOM-2E9408 for a broadly similar style of bar bezel. However as it can not be proved that it is older than 300 years, it should be considered Not Treasure.
