Post-Medieval gold finger-ring, thin hoop expanding slightly towards the shoulders. Bezel in the form of a central faceted stone (diamond?) flanked by lozenges with three tiny stones (diamonds?). The bezels each with enamelled 'tongues' with traces of white enamel remaining, further white enamel on the shoulders. Keying on the band of the ring indicates that the entire ring may have once been enamelled.

This is a type of ring popular from the late 17th century to at least the 1730's; in the absence of any mark or inscription we cannot date this ring to pre 1712.
