Fragment of post-medieval lead toy gun: hollow barrel with ten transverse ribs at round-sectioned surviving end. The rest of the barrel is hexagonally facetted with a slot along upper face to the break. The two lower faces are longitudinally divided by a casting seam and have moulded obliquely cross-hatched decoration, with two projecting stumps towards the break, representing part of a guard and trigger. Length >31mm. Barrel diam.7mm. Second half of the 19th century.
