gold object. The object is of hollow conical form with a flat base. Around the base is a border of beading, now quite worn. On the bottom is the remainder of solder which may indicate that this item was attached/ or part of a larger object. The top of the object has been dented as have other parts of the object.

Notes:

Although there are no exact parallels for this item there are a number of object submitted via the Treasure Act of similar style, for example the beading. This object is probably part of a larger object. Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.
