Incomplete Roman silver finger ring weighing 7.97g, oval in plan. Approximately a quarter of the D sectioned hoop is missing. The oval bezel is empty as the setting is missing, except for a deposit of white fixative. The shoulders are convex with an arc of patterning made of incised dots and small dashes in two lines curving towards the hoop of the ring, away from the bezel, over the shoulders. Around the edges of the ring is a slightly uneven perimeter rib, which varies in width and is partially missing along the side of the bezel.
Dimensions: External diameter 23.89mm, Internal diameter 18.13mm, Height approximately 16.27mm, Bezel Width 13.86mm, Setting 10.35 x 7.72mm.
Roman: probably late 2nd - 3rd century AD.
