A complete copper alloy harness pendant dating to c.1250-1400. The pendant is shield shape with an integral loop in the centre of the straight edge of the shield. The front of the shield is decorated with a rampant lion that has traces of red enamel remaining on the surface. Surrounding this decoration is some remains of yellow enamel. The reverse of the object is undecorated. The metal is green in colour and the object weighs 12.1g and measures 38.80m in length and 24.62mm at its widest point.
