A copper alloy sestertius of Commodus under Marcus Aurelius dating to the period AD 178 (Reece Period 8). The obverse depicts a laureate head facing right and is inscribed L AVREL COMMODVS AVG TR P III. The reverse depicts Libertas going left with a pileus and a rod and is inscribed [LI]BER[TAS AVG IMP II] COS PP SC. Mint of Rome. RIC III, p 341, no 1588.
