An incomplete cast copper alloy mount of post-medieval date. The mount has a heart shaped body with a domed profile and concave reverse. The pointed end of the heart extends in to an open work trefoil though the two side lobes are now missing due to old breaks. The front of the mount is otherwise undecorated. From the reverse two broken and work attachment spikes project orientated along the longitudinal axis.
The metal has a mid reddish-green patina and is worn. The mount is 21.7mm long, 14.1mm wide, 3mm thick and weighs 1.5g.
