A complete ovate obliquely blunted discoidal Knife of late Mesolithic date 6500-3500BC. The lithic is a subtrianglar shape. The dorsal surface is composed of a main dorsal ridge created by the removal of a large flake on the right hand side of the distal edge, two other flaking scars with corresponding arrises to the proximal left and side of the dorsal surface. There is also a notched edge to the mesial portion on the left hand side. Some cortex remains on the proximal end and fine retouch is present along the left and right hand sides. The distal left hand edge has been obliquely blunted to create a distinctive edge which terminates in a point. The ventral surface is smooth and contains two flaking scars with corresponding arrises running diagonally from the proximal centre to the lower mesial portion. The ventral surface contains at the proximal end a striking platform and a bulb of percussion from which emanate cracking ripples.

The flint us a light brown to cream colour.

Length, 36.2mm, Thickness, 3.9mm, Weight, 3.3g.
