A copper alloy strap fitting or furniture mount. A rectangular mount with large trefoil, fleur-de lys style terminal at each side. In the middle of each of the terminals is a small circular attachment hole, one of which retains traces of an iron rivet or nail. In the centre is a rectangular aperture. This may be a sword belt fitting or possibly a decorative fitting for furniture, perhaps an escutcheon for a small handle
