Copper alloy buckle. Cast rectangular buckle frame with a thickened curved edge and a prominent notch for the pin. Rust staining on the pin bar suggests the pin may have been made of iron, and together with the small size of the object this may tend to confirm a function as a spur buckle. Suggested date: Late Medieval, 1350-1400.
