Copper alloy clasp. Cast sub-rectangular frame with bevelled edge engrailed on its outer side, anda round section bar opposite. Decoration moulded in low relief comprises a central rhomboid flanked by a plain triangular area and pairs of ribs. The form is reminiscent of that of 'king's head' clasps, though this example is not obviously figurative. Suggested date: Late Medieval, 1350-1400.
