An incomplete cast copper-alloy hooked tag of Post-Medieval date. It is missing the lower half of the plate and hook due to old breaks. The tag is flat, circular in form with an integrally cast rectangular suspension loop with rectangular aperture at the top. The plate has openwork decoration comprising a central five-petalled flower or rose around which is an openwork border consisting of five surviving oval shaped motifs each with projecting pellet on the outer edge. The entire object measures 20.21mm in length, 17.68mm in width, 1.06mm in thickness and 1.45g in weight.
This hooked tag finds a near identical parallel in Read's early Post-Medieval Class E type 3 hooked tag group (Read, 2008: no. 379). It is of 16th-17th century AD date.
