An incomplete tinned copper-alloy T shaped brooch of Roman date. In plan, the brooch is almost T-shaped, and D-shaped in cross section. The bow head is hump-like, and angular (comma shaped) in profile, with cylindrical wings projecting from either side, one is incomplete. There is an incomplete tab or loop at the head. The spring and pin are missing. The bow tapers towards the old break about halfway down the length of the bow and the bow is decorated with a concave and convex incision forming a broad X. The back of the brooch is flat and undecorated. The brooch has a mid green patina and is corroded in places.
