Cast copper alloy seal matrix dating to the Medieval period. The matrix is a pointed oval (vessica) shape in plan. The central motif is of a crescent moon with an eight-pointed star above and a nine-pointed star below. The legend reads + S' NICHOLAI WALES which can be translated as the Seal of Nicholas of Wales. On the reverse is a central rib with a perforated lug at the top of the seal. The object has a dark green patina and is in good condition.
