Medieval copper alloy annular brooch, 28mm in diameter and 2mm thick. The brooch is in good condition and weighs 2.70grams. The brooch is oval in section and is decorated on one surface with diagonally placed incised lines which terminate on each edge with triangular recesses, giving the impression of a three dimensional rope effect. The brooch has a rectangular recess with a circular sectioned pin bridging it. The pin is missing and the underside is plain.
