Possibly an incomplete Late Neolithic flint oblique arrowhead. Made on a secondary flake with a small area of cortex remaining near the lower edge. Sub-triangular in shape. The longest edge is straight before curving outwards at the lower end and continues downwards to form a barb. The other edge is straight, both joining to form a point at the tip. The base is a concave curve. Long, scaler semi-abrupt retouch along the short edge. Scalar to sub-parallel invasive retouch across the tip of the barb, semi-abrupt at the edges and shallow over the top. The flint is dark grey with paler, opaque, patches. Length: 28.9mm, Width: 18.8mm, Thickness: 5.5mm, Weight: 2.05g.
The arrowhead is too thick at the unworked section covered in cortex where it would have been hafted if complete. This, and the lack of retouch down the long edge suggests it was abandoned incomplete.
