An incomplete cast copper alloy bow and fantail brooch of Roman date (AD 50-150). The head and bow of the brooch are missing as is the pin and a small amount of the catch plate is still present on the reverse. The fantail bow is decorated with an incised rectangular panel set vertically which contains three lozenge shaped cells also incised. The triangular fantail is incised with a border which closely follows the edge creating a raised rim. Both the lower left and right corners are damaged. The top is decorated with four incised semicircular grooves.
The colour is a mid to light brown.
