An assemblage of eight lithic implements with a combined total weight of 95.39g. They are struck from unpatinated dark grey/brown flint and date to the later Prehistoric period, c.3,500-800 BC.
1) A large flake with limited edge retouch or use wear, struck from a flint quern stone with the remnants of the original surface visible on one surface. It measures 53.55mm in length, 54.09mm in width, 12.02mm in thickness and 33.66g in weight. It is of Later Neolithic to Bronze Age date.
2) A long flake with limited edge retouch, a natural striking platform and two bulbs of percussion. It measures 48.69mm in length, 28.86mm in width, 10.57mm in thickness and 13.77g in weight. It is of Later Neolithic to Bronze Age date.
3) A snapped long flake with limited crude edge retouch. It measures 40.82mm in length, 18.31mm in width, 7.57mm in thickness and 3.72g in weight. It is of Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age date.
4) A long flake with limited edge retouch and a slight notch. It measures 38.01mm in length, 20.52mm in width, 7.29mm in thickness and 5.61g in weight. It is of Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age date.
5) A squat flake with limited edge retouch and parallel long flake scars on dorsal face. It measures 29.76mm in length, 35.07mm in width, 7.75mm in thickness and 6.15g in weight. It is of Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age date.
6) A short flake with limited edge retouch. It measures 35.69mm in length, 29.05mm in width, 9.95mm in thickness and 11.32g in weight. It is of Late Neolithic to Early Bronze Age date.
7) A snapped thick flake or core fragment of later Prehistoric date. It measures 32.02mm in length, 28.32mm in width, 11.79mm in thickness and 11.45g in weight.
8) A snapped flake or core fragment with retouched break. The original worked surface of the object is abraded and slightly patinated. It measures 28mm in length, 29.69mm in width, 9.64mm in thickness and 9.71g in weight. It is of Prehistoric date.
