A double looped buckle manufactured from cast copper-alloy and dating from the early post-medieval period. The buckle has a vesica shaped frame with a protrusion at either end of the narrowed strap bar. Similar buckle are described by Ross Whitehead and are dated to 1550-1650 (p.61).
The buckle is in fair condition, with a dark surface patination.
